Green Lake Waste Water Treatment Facility
High demand and seasonal fluctuations in use due to strong summer tourist business left the aging Green Lake Waste Water Treatment facility stressed and over burdened. Already exceeding its 20-year lifespan, structural deterioration had taken a toll on the facility and effluent levels were failing to meet WPDES permit standards.
Kunkel Engineering Group worked with the City of Green Lake to design and construct a state-of-the-art waste water treatment facility that uses a Sequential Batch Reactor with Biological Phosphorus Removal to clean and purify the water.
Construction began in the fall of 2007 and was completed in July 2008. The new facility has a 20-year lifespan.
Total project cost: $5,468,000.00
